Mr Denys C. Shortt - (Chairman & CEO)
Denys has been ranked as one of Britain's Top 10 Entrepreneurs and has created 10 businesses in different sectors including manufacturing, distribution, technology, consumer brands, and creative design. In his younger days Denys was an England International hockey player. Denys started DCS Europe plc in 1994 and has grown the company to sales of £120m, employing over 200 people. Denys has also started 2 software companies which now have combined sales of £3m and employ 20 people. Denys runs a 55 acre organic farm in the Cotswolds breeding belted galloway cattle. He is also a keen helicopter pilot. His most recent venture is a new health and beauty products factory focussing on the Made in England usp.
Denys supports the local community in Stratford-upon-Avon and his company has strong values - no products are tested on animals, and a keen supporter of saving energy and use of alternative fuels.
Nigel Shortt - (Managing Director)
Nigel's experience within the grocery industry spans almost 30 years. As MD he manages the day-to-day operations of DCS Europe plc with a key focus on making sure that resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve the company's objectives.
Richard Jorden - (Commercial Director)
Following buying roles at Morrisions, Batleys and Pricemaster (pre MST merger), Richard joined DCS in 1995 as a trading executive within various divisions of the group, before finally working alongside Denys on the creation of DCS Central Distribution.
Chris Robey - (Trading Director)
Having begun his career with Beecham's Chris has worked in this industry for over 30 years. His experience in setting up Peadouce UK was a great help in the early years of DCS and he has helped the tremendous growth in DCS over the past fifteen years.
Paul Murphy - (Finance Director)
Paul has 30 years experience in finance and accounts.Working initially in the accountancy profession covering audit and accounts, he then moved to corporate and personal taxation.In the last 12 years Paul has worked in industry and commerce as a Financial Director.
